Over the years, Ken Able and Thomas Grothues have tagged and tracked hundreds of striped bass and flounder passing through the Little Egg Inlet and traveling around Great Bay and Barnegat Bay. Read more about this underwater vehicle called REMUS with its new sophisticated hydrophone.

Katye Altieri has received the 2007 AGU Fall Meeting Outstanding Student Paper Award. Her presentation, "Chemical characterization of secondary organic aerosol formed through cloud processing of methylglyoxal", was recognized as among the best of a strong group of student presenters.

A Special Honor: Paul G. Falkowski, Board of Governors' Professor of Marine and Geological Sciences, has been elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Microbiology.

Fellows of the American Academy of Microbiology are elected annually through a highly selective, peer-reviewed process based on their records of scientific achievement and original contributions that have advanced microbiology.

Eric Powell (center) of the Haskin Shellfish Research Lab, Ralph Stahl of Dupont and Mary Ann Westerfield of Cumberland Community College have partnered to host the DuPont Seminar Series, beginning February 19 running through April 28.
